On an IOSF Otter Watching Day you will be shown how to read the field signs and how to look for otters in the wild without disturbing them, which is vitally important. Groups are small or run on a one-to-one basis, we want to give you the best chance of seeing these wonderful animals. However, they are wild and we cannot give a 100% guarantee that we will see them, but as Skye's otters are not nocturnal we stand a good chance.
You will be led by Dr Paul and Grace Yoxon who have over 25 years experience of studying and watching otters on the Isle of Skye.
All profits go towards the work of IOSF.
Jackie West Marketing and Business Marketing Online support the International Otter Survival Fund - you, too, can support their work in otter conservation worldwide. IOSF also run a wild animal hospital on the Isle of Skye specialising in orphaned and injured otters, including help and advice to people around the world also involved in this work. The hospital does take other wildlife casualties such as hedgehogs, seabirds, owls, etc. Help today - sponsor an otter, buy a gift from the otter shop, participate in events (Otter Watching Day, Otter Holiday or join a survey group), or simply make a donation! Corporate enquiries welcome.
